Million Dollar Baby - Tells a story that will truly move your soul and leave a lasting impression. If you go see one movie in 2004, make sure it's this one. You won't be disappointed.
Miracle - The best sports action to ever be filmed. Two very important aspects put this one at the top of the list: not too overly exaggerated hits and actors that move like real athletes... and another reason: it's a great movie.
Bull Durham - The best baseball movie out there. Also the best movie quote ever: "I believe in the small of a woman's back, the hangin' curve ball, high fiber and good Scotch."
Prefontaine - the best "minor" sports movie. It's allure is that the imperfect Steve Prefontaine can overcome his imperfections to become an Olympic class runner. Inspiration for everyone. You also get to see how Nike was founded.
Brian's Song - The best football movie. Heavily drenched in that made-for-TV atmosphere, but nonetheless a classic. The Old Yeller for grown men. We men can all watch it together and cry and never feel bad about it
Friday Night Lights - A chillingly accurate depiction of the rabid obsession with football in Texas. You'll be overcome by "mojo' magic.
Tin Cup - The best sports movie about golf . The Bull Durham of golf. Best example of how to weave a love story into a sports movie .
