The movie 'The Blind Side' is going to release on 20th Nov 2009. It is directed by John Lee Hancock. Its star cast include Sandra Bullock, Tim Mc Graw, Kathy Bates, Quinton Aaron. The story of the movie is based on the 2006 book 'The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game' by Michael Lewis.
The main character of the movie is Michael Oher, an offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens NFL Football team. He was brought up in impoverished condition and passed many years at Briarcrest Christian School. When he is shown in movie for the first time, he is very far from becoming a football star. Infact he had never played football before.
He was adopted by Sean and Leigh Anne Tuohy and achieved most highly coveted prospects in College Football. The film stars Quinton Aaron as Michael Oher and Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw as Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy. Leigh and Sean are adoptive parents of Michael Oher. Kathy Bates protrays the role of Miss Sue who is Oher's tutor.
The movie also features appearances by several current and former NCAA coaches, including Phillip Fulmer, Nick Saban, Lou Holtz and Tommy Tuberville and recruiting analyst Tom Lemming. Some part of film was shot at The Westminster Schools and Atlanta International School in Atlanta, Georgia, and features many of its students. Not until the end of the movie, we are able to know what going on in Oher's head. How does he feel about being selected from poverty stricken community and getting opportunity to hold a coveted position.
Sandra Bullock adopts Michael Oher and plays an important role in the movie. The movie doesn't focus on to please the crowd but provoked reality based thoughts in spectators mind. Hancock, who added a thoughtful page to the sports-movie playbook with 2002's "The Rookie," goes for a decidedly broader attack here in his protrayal of Tennessee's Tuohy family and their amazing houseguest.
Alar Kivilo's crisp cinematography is appreciable and costume designer Daniel Orlandi's costumes are very suitable and fit the best to the characters.
