Extraordinary Measures

'Extraordinary Measures' is an Upcoming Bollywood movies directed by Tom Vaughan and written by Robert Nelson Jacobs. Screenplay of this upcoming drama is adapted from the Geeta Anand's Pulitzer-winning book 'The Cure'. This film is based on the real story of John Crowley, a father of a family whose kids suffer from Pompe Disease. Distributed by CBS films, who will first time go into production with this film.

This flick is slated for releases on 22 January, 2010. This Hollywood new release stars Brendan Fraser, Harrison Ford, Meredith Droeger, Diego Velazquez and Keri Russell. This film is produced by Michael Shamberg, Stacey Sher and Carla Santos Shamberg.

The story of the film revolves around the John Crowley, a man with conventional wisdom and great odds, played by Brendan Fraser, who just began to taste the success in American corporates. The main protagonist of the film John has a wife named Aileen played by Keri Russel ad three kids. Just as John's career is taking off, he walks away from it all when his two youngest children, Megan and Patrick, are diagnosed with a fatal disease, Pompe Disease. With Aileen by his side, harnessing all of his skill and determination, John Crowley teams up with a brilliant, but unappreciated and unconventional scientist, Dr. Robert Stonehill played by Harrison Ford.

Together they joined their hands to establish a bio-tech company focused on developing a life-saving drug. One driven to prove himself and his theories, the other by a chance to save his children, this unlikely combination eventually develops into mutual respect as they battle the medical and business establishments in a fight against the system and time. But, at the last minute, when it appears that a solution has been found, the relationship between the two men faces a final test, the outcome of which will affect the fate of John's children.
