Legion

Among all the Upcoming Hollywood movies, a thriller titled Legion is also going to arrive at the box office on 22nd January 2010. Directed by Scot Stewart and penned by Peter Chink, this film features Paul Bettany, Dennis Quaid and Kate Walsh in the lead. It is one one of the most highly anticipated Hollywood release this year.

The plot of Legion revolves around the journey of a man named Archangel Michael, who is one of the humans, unable to strike a balance between apocalypse and mankind. The storyline is followed by wrath of god's descendants on earth and how the worlds population gets exterminated. Parallel track of Michael visiting Mexico to save a pregnant waitress is also included. Being a sci- fi thriller, Legion is bound to comprise some stylized action scenes and with a different storyline like such, it is definitely going to strike a chord with the audiences at large. After going through the synopsis of the film, the conclusion drawn is that, along with action the presence of a serious element and a well defined backdrop would also be witnessed by the viewers.

This movie has been shot on a huge canvas and some extraordinary special effects have also been applied to make the action scenes look believable. Other than the lead, all other characters have various shades and some fine performances can be expected from the actors like Dennis Quiad and Kate Walsh. Legion would be a refreshing thriller and is surely a must watch because its not only the unique plot and action that it offers but a complete new makeover has been given to the entire starcast. This film has a very dark theme but what can make this sci- fi film work at the box office is the refreshingly edgy screenplay with some well placed pauses and pick up points. Other than a creative portion, the music of the film composed by John Frizzel makes it stand class apart.

Along with good music, cinematographer John Lindley has done an excellent job and has captured some of the best visuals in the indoor and out door shots. Editor Steven Kimper has also done a fine job and has placed some proper match cuts at correct points. All the Hollywood new releases are surely going to face a stiff competition from this one.
